Mission Refresh - Community Through Hope

The aim of Project ReFresh is to provide a client-centered and criminality-free space for the unsheltered community to feel ReFreshed and get connected to impact-based services that allow them to continue on the path to self-sufficiency. Project ReFresh is the first weekly mobile shower program of its kind in the South Bay. Besides a shower, unsheltered clients can als get access to haircuts, nutrition, hygiene, mail services, other gap services, sit with a HHSA specialist, get access to NARCAN and receive medical services.

Think Dignity - Fresh Start Showers

Launched in 2016 as the premier program of their Mobile Operations of Dignity (MOD) Squad, Fresh Start Showers is a two-shower mobile trailer that provides access to safe shower facilities and basic hygiene resources for people experiencing homelessness in San Diego County. Mustard Seed Project

Click to view the official website of The Mustard Seed Project, a youth-led organization on a mission to fight homelessness by working one-on-one with individuals to build professional resumes, fill out applications (MediCal, General Relief, CalFresh, housing waitlists, etc.), and file referrals to community resources such as financial, legal, and healthcare services.

McAlister Institute

McAlister Institute offers 24 programs that represent a complete continuum of care for the prevention and treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction. Each program is built on more than 40 years of experience in alcohol and other drug services and has been tailored to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities that have been affected by substance abuse. At this time, most programs accept Medi-Cal and are also able to assist individuals who are Medi-Cal-eligible.
