Here at Community Plate Initiative, we are on a mission to alleviate hunger within our San Diego community while inspiring others in their respective communities to do the same. Who We Are
Community Plate Initiative is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is made of community members that put in the time and research to approach social challenges in an intelligent way. Issues such as promoting sustainability, waste reduction during service, reducing food costs, and unhoused outreach. But most of all our main project is to end hunger and alleviate homelessness in our local community. It is an unknown and unspoken fact that in San Diego, California 1 in 3 people are food insecure, and 1 in 5 are nutritionally insecure.
Here at Community Plate Initiative, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2020, we have been determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we’re involved in. Through all of our endeavors, we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.
